GPS on Mobile Phone Can Be More Accurate, Here's How:
The location becomes the headline the app needs in connection with access to smartphones. A number of apps like Google Maps, need location related information to work.
On iOS and Android operating devices, you can restrict access to locations owned by certain apps. On Android devices, you can manage location accuracy so that apps do not know your exact location. Here are the steps you need to take.
1. Access the Settings and Location app.
2. If Location feature is enabled, you will find the Mode option. The Location Mode screen will display three location accuracy modes supported by Android.
3. Selecting High Accuracy mode will enable the wireless lever and allow GPS to track your presence. This mode can be used for applications with high accuracy needs such as Uber.
4. While choosing Battery Saving mode will rely on network operator, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth to determine location. However, this mode can not support apps like Uber and Google Maps.
5. Device only mode is the most restricted location mode, and only rely on GPS and sensors on the device to determine your location. Unfortunately, this mode can not support most applications currently available.
This accuracy mode determination applies only to all apps you have, and can not be determined per app. You can allow or block apps to access locations at the same time.
